Course Description:

This course will provide you the information to understand the history of Insurance and Insurance legislation. You will be able to review how the insurance industry is regulated by TDI.

You will also be able to:

  • Effectively understand the various laws and insurance concepts used in this profession.
  • Be able to distinguish between the various types of risk in the insurance marketplace.
  • Understand your fiduciary obligation to both parties: The Insurer and The Insured.
  • Review the law and consumer protection measures that have been created throughout the United States to protect the insured, claimants, and beneficiaries from various insurer tactics such as: twisting, replacement of policy requirements, blacklisting, and rebating among others.
